- Keep it short: most newspapers prefer letters that are between 100-200 words.
- Make it personal: aim to put things in your own words and draw from your own experiences.
- Be accurate: make sure you’ve got your facts straight.
- Try to be unique. People are tired of stale political talking points.
- Make sure to proofread: the last thing you want are grammatical or spelling mistakes.
